Fees & Insurance Coverage

Did you know that many employee extended health benefits packages have coverage for chiropody visits, custom orthotics and orthopedic footwear?

Check your individual policy for details. We will do our best to help you navigate your benefits in the most effective possible manner since chiropody, orthotics and footwear are not covered by OHIP.

Please call your insurance provider for questions regarding your individual policy. We will provide you with all of the forms needed to submit our foot care and orthotics claims to your health insurance provider.

  • Equitable Life: 1-800-265-8878
  • Great West Life: 1-800-268-1154
  • Green Shield: 1-888-711-1119
  • Manulife: 1-800-268-6195

If you do not have extended health benefits you are not alone. All our pricing is mandated by the College of Chiropodists of Ontario. Many people still book my services without insurance because they need a foot specialist, custom orthotics, laser and other treatments.

Specific fees vary depending on the type and extent of services required. Our fees follow the guidelines set forth by the Canadian Federation of Podiatric Medicine and the Ontario Society of Chiropodists.

We aim to have competitive fees and have set our office fees to be comparable to colleagues with similar education, background, skill base and experience level within Ontario.

We aim to offer competitive orthotics and orthopedic fees in Guelph and Milton.

Our standard rate for custom orthotics includes:

  • Assessment
  • Prescription
  • Biomechanical exam and gait analysis
  • Casting
  • Orthotics
  • Professional fitting
  • Patient treatment follow-up care and lab adjustments for a minimum of one year
  • Annual check-ups for 5 years after your orthotics have been prescribed and fitted

We believe in comprehensive care and helping our patients to ensure that they get the most out of their investment.

Currently, we can also online direct bill chiropody and podiatry assessments and treatment services for Veterans Affairs, WSIB, as well as many other health insurance companies.

Each policy with each company is different, and we are happy to check if direct billing is an option for you.

Please bring your insurance claim card to your visit and we can inquire online before we prepare your invoice receipt.

Unfortunately at this time, due to insurance company regulations, we are not able to direct bill for orthotics and orthopedic shoes.

For your convenience, we accept cash, cheque, debit, VISA and MasterCard for foot care and chiropody treatments as well as custom orthotics and orthopedic shoes.

Please contact us if you have any questions or require more information.

I am a registered chiropodist and foot care specialist and have been helping patients for over 20 years.

Are you uncertain about whether you should choose a chiropodist vs. podiatrist? Chiropodists and podiatrists provide the same care. There are 600 registered chiropodists in Ontario and only 60 podiatrists. The College of Chiropodists of Ontario stopped using the name podiatrist in Ontario in 1993, over 26 years ago — but the name is still used in other provinces in Canada, also USA and UK.

Chiropodists today must complete 7 years of post-secondary education. We do complete case management of foot problems, assessing and treating the entire foot and its complications.

Let's Connect

Are you ready to get your feet taken care of by an experienced foot care specialist and a professional chiropodist? I have two locations in Guelph and Milton.

I provide full biomechanical exams and gait analysis — I will be able to help address your foot discomfort by foot care treatment, custom orthotics and orthopaedic shoes, surgery, medication, laser or physical therapy.

Chiropodists and podiatrists are the only regulated health professions who have the ability to prescribe and provide custom orthotics as defined in the Regulated Health Profession Act of Ontario.

I want to help get your feet functioning better so you can feel better.
